A stone patio and a timber platform on a lake
The project replaces a beach that did not belong on the lake. Its rectilinearity emphasises the irregularity of the large mossy rocks and level change. Some of the rocks become furniture on the stone patio. The timber platform hovers over the waters edge. Square in plan, its pattern references the Agnes Martin painting, Affection, 2001.
